Contact and
Support
We've tried to give as much instruction as much as possible
in the documentation. Many problems can be traced to a simple
setup issue, or could also be related to your internet
connection. For example your ISP may be blocking inbound port 80
http: requests or outbound SMTP requests. Check with your ISP
first if something isn't working beyond your local network.
If WebServUSB doesn't work when attempting
connections outside of your
internet connection, please first try WebServUSB on an alternate
connection if possible to see if your ISP is blocking such
requests.
If you have a question or problem, please make sure it isn't
covered
here before contacting us.
Contacting Us:
Use the form or address below to send any questions, comments, or bug reports regarding WebServUSB
When you e-mail us please include the following information:
- The version of WebServUSB that you are using.
(see splash screen)
- The OS you are running on
(Win98/WinME/WinNT/Win2000/WinXP
Pro or Home)
- Include the browser name and version
(ie. IE6,
Netscape6)
- Your problem. Make it as detailed as necessary - but as
brief as possible.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
WebServUSB will NOT support operation on an
AOL connection. Sorry, we have to draw the line somewhere.
If you have AOL and want to run a web server, you'll need to get
a real, standards compliant internet connection.
AOL goes to great lengths to block anything that is not part
of their system, so please just don't go there.
Likewise, while WebServUSB "may" run on
Windows ME, its like trying to run a Ferrari on
Kerosene; it "may" startup, it "may" run a little, but it will
eventually die. Get Windows 2000 or Windows XP for stable
operation of your system. Don' believe us? Check
here.
